Cody Henderson Keeps the Books Balanced and the Team in Sync
At All-Pro Auto Reconditioning, the work in the field is only one part of the bigger picture. While our technicians deliver hands-on service at the dealership level, they rely on support from the Home Office to keep things running. Cody Henderson, our Accounts Receivable Lead, is part of that support system. He helps ensure invoices are accurate, payments are timely, and communication between teams stays clear. His work helps keep the entire operation running smoothly, side by side with the work happening out in the field.
Built on Communication and Follow-Through
As Accounts Receivable Lead, Cody makes sure that invoices are handled accurately and on time for the work our technicians complete. His job is to monitor the billing process from start to finish and catch anything that could delay payments or create confusion. "Accounts receivable at All-Pro means making sure that the money the field bills to the dealerships is collected properly and doesn't get over 30 days old," Cody explained. "We track it, follow up, and work with the field and dealership staff to keep things current." That means coordinating with techs to confirm billing details, syncing with internal teams to meet timelines, and supporting dealership contacts to resolve questions quickly. It is a role that depends on precision, follow-up, and clear expectations at every step.
Partnering with the Field and the Dealership
Cody’s role connects the dots between multiple teams, each with its own responsibilities. When a tech completes a job, the next step depends on the accuracy of the invoice, how it's entered, and how quickly the dealership can process it. Cody’s team monitors that handoff and keeps in touch with both the techs and the dealership contacts. "It takes everyone working together," Cody said. "If the invoice is right on the front end, everything else moves faster."
Leadership Through Clarity and Trust
As a lead, Cody oversees a four-person team responsible for the day-to-day accounting cycle. He keeps an eye on aging balances, monitors trends, and sets clear expectations. But what sets him apart is how approachable he is in the process. "If someone has a question, I want them to feel confident coming to me," he said. "Knowing the right answer helps us all stay on track."
Learning by Example
Cody credits much of his development to mentorship from Senior Accountant Mykel Crumb. "I’ve learned so much from him," Cody said. "He’s patient, understanding, and always willing to teach." That steady influence helped shape Cody’s approach to leadership: know your stuff, follow through, and support your team.
Team Accountability
Working in a high-volume environment means pressure is a given. Cody knows that if one person isn’t pulling their weight, it affects everyone. "If one person is carrying more than their share, it throws everything off," he said. "Everyone has to be pulling in the same direction. That’s how we avoid backlogs and keep serving our partners well."
It’s Not Just Numbers
While Cody leads the accounts receivable team, he doesn’t see it as just a numbers job. To him, it’s about relationships. "The better we work internally, the easier we make it for the dealership," he said. "When the field and the home office are aligned, the whole system works better."
Outside the Office
Cody’s energy doesn’t stop when the workday ends. He’s a fan of spontaneous road trips, often heading to Galveston, San Antonio, or Louisiana on the weekends. He’s also big on live music and once saw over 25 performances during a single CMA Fest. His favorite? A Coldplay concert in Colorado. "I’m a person who likes new experiences. That keeps me sharp," he said.
At the same time, Cody values solitude. "I like being around people, but I also enjoy solo time," he said. "I’ll go to a concert alone or take myself out to eat. I’m proud of being good with my own company."
Advice for the Next Pro
For anyone looking to build a career in auto reconditioning, Cody keeps it simple. "Be open to change. Never stay comfortable," he said. That mindset has taken him from a service desk in a small town to a leadership position in one of the largest reconditioning operations in the country. And it continues to guide how he leads his team and supports All-Pro’s mission.
